The Universal Merit Awards 2024, organized by India’s Also Group, is set to take place on August 7, 2024, at the BMICH International Convention Center in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Renowned Bollywood director Dushyant Pratap Singh has been appointed as the director for this prestigious event. Ashish Kumar Agarwal, the founder and director of Franchise Batao, will serve as the executive producer, while astrologer Praveen Kumar Joshi joins as a co-organizer.
Professor Karthik Rawal, the chief promoter of the Universal Merit Awards, announced that former President and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa, will be the chief guest. Ajith Rajapakse, the Deputy Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament, will be the special guest at the event. Additionally, Sri Lankan actress Rashiprabha Sandeepani, who has previously collaborated with Dushyant Pratap Singh in Bollywood, will be honored. Celebrated Sri Lankan musician and singer Priyanath Rathnayake will also receive recognition for his significant contributions to music both locally and internationally.
